tennis racket grip size?

i use k factor 90 4 3/8
1.how do you know your right Tennis Grip Size?
2.i have 4 3/8 grip size tennis racket and i feel little hurt when i play for an hour or more. is it because i got surgery for my pinky hand ? or is it normal? even though im stronger than anyone else in my tennis team they say they dont feel hurt when they play for an hour.
3. is there any way to make this grip size smaller?
i have tension of 63 for this racket
is it not good?

They say you should have a pinky’s width between you pinky and the base of your thumb. But i think the grip should still be smaller.

A smaller grip gets you better racquet head speed, provided you don’t grip the racquet too tightly.

A bigger grip is supposed to get you greater comfort and stability on the serve, but I don’t know if this is really true.

I would err on the small side, and if it needs to be bigger, just put on overgrip.

Federer uses 4 3/8″ grip… that’s small for his height and size. I also thinks he takes the leather off and uses only a couple of over-grips… you get better feel of the racquet.
